Raintree Country Club

Client: Raintree

Project Location: Charlotte, NC

Scale: 18,000 sf (main Club Building)

The Operations Manager of this long-established country club in Charlotte requested a plan to evaluate various areas across the site and upgrade existing facilities and add amenities in order to maintain existing membership as well as attract new membership.  HGA is working alongside the Contractor to review the specific and immediate needs of management as well as aesthetic and functional desires by the Club’s Board Members and current code requirements.

This project exudes many challenges.  Built in 1971, the main facility has had many renovations and has changed ownership over the years meaning several current spaces were not accurately documented in the drawings held by the Club.  HGA scoured through old blueprints, digital files, online information from the County, and made several site visits to establish a base line of information from which to work and establish a Master Plan.

Several marketing packages were created focusing on various areas including a new Cart Shed, Outdoor Event Venue, and many spaces within and around the main Club Building.  Working with several consultants, the team provided numerous plans, elevations, 3D views, and a live digital walk-through with the Board and Committees to review the options available and pinpoint the final direction desired due to scheduling, phasing, budget, and ultimate participant desires.

Specific areas detailed in the packages include the Main Entrance/ Porte-Cochère, Fitness Center, Reception, Ballrooms, Main Dining Rooms, Lounge, and adjoining public spaces.
